Digital Photo Artist's Statement
My digital art has many influences but is best inspired by the impressionists who utilized pointillism and expressive effects. The French fauves with their bold colors have also been influential. My digital images are inspired by locations. I travel frequently and take lots of photographs. Back in the studio I take these photos and add filter effects, then often digitally paint on top of these effects. Some works show more of the computer-generated results and others are more painterly. My style is best characterized by the use of intense color and texture.
